Art Deco 1920’s Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Engagement Ring 18k White Gold

This spectacular Art Deco ring is crafted in luxuriant 18k white gold and is set with a single European cut round brilliant diamond in the center, weighing 0.40ct. The diamond is framed by a halo of fantasy cut Ceylon Sapphires, the rarest color of all Sapphires and well as an outer halo of single cut accent diamond diamond. The Sapphires are lively and bright, cornflower blue in color. Single cut diamonds only have 7-8 facets but are quite a brilliant cut. The band of the ring has two inset European round accent diamonds with hand tooling around them. The total carat weight of all the gemstones in the ring is 1.35ctw. Truly a one of a kind piece from the Art Deco Era. The low profile design of the setting helps keep all of the gemstones out of harms way. The engraving in the shank, GG 6-3-40, is hand engraved and believed to have been added at a later date as the style of the setting is very true to form of the Art Deco period.
